After the Tree's main belief about music is that, however far things in life seem out of reach, music is always reachable. That belief has carried over onto the bands Debut album “Contrary Young Men”.

After the Tree comes into the game with an EP involving an array of differing musical emotions. From jump up and down, go crazy high energy material, to meditative, from the heart, love songs.

Throughout the album the listener is surrounded by music that aims to bring out those feelings. “Our goal was to provide a sound that you can enjoy, but also makes you think” says drummer and vocalist Zach Case. That goal is very apparent when listening. Catchy melodies and intricate lyrics make for an album that aims to pull you in and not let go. Pretty impressive for two guys working with just a laptop and a mic in dorm rooms and sound-proofed closets.
